Rule out dashboard lag, the wrong account and the wrong workspace before deciding a reset failed. Do not click repeatedly because the UI did not change immediately.
Make sure the state is current
Close and reopen the Usage page, refresh your session, and verify the account and workspace. OpenAI notes that the usage dashboard can lag briefly, so an unchanged first view does not prove failure.
Check whether it was consumed
Compare the five-hour and weekly windows before and after the action. If at least one eligible window refreshed, the reset may have succeeded. If the reset is still available and neither window changed, keep evidence before doing anything else.
